A wrench is a tool used to fasten or remove pipes, nuts and bolts. There are two types of wrenches. These are the pipe wrenches used in plumbing for gripping round objects and basic wrenches for general use, such as on nuts and bolts that have flat and parallel surfaces.

The hacksaw, on the other hand, is good for cutting metal or pipes. Whereas, a keyhole saw is used when a drill is too large to cut through openings.

Pliers are general purpose hand tools thus allowing them to be used for other applicationa other than plumbing. These are one of the handiest tools in every repairman or homeowner’s tool box. The basic purpose of pliers is to grip objects tightly and firmly so objects can be manipulated in whatever way possible.
