Within the technology sector there is a process called push-pull with regard to speakers.  In the audio world, this is pretty much a standard when it comes to sound systems.  This process is typically found in subwoofers.  It creates reduced volume overall based on the enclosed unit.  The concept is really straightforward.  When there are two speakers that are in an opposite phase, there is closed volume in the middle of the units.  What happens is that when one speaker’s cone moves inward, the other speaker’s cone will move outward.  By this process, the volume of the speaker internally is always the same.  There is another process called bass-reflex.  This process creates problems with port tuning, where as the push-pull technology does not.

Logitec SpeakersLogitech speakers without the push-pull specifics have solid increased output power per volume.  That is a nice benefit due to better quality of sound that will be noticed.  The Logitech Z320 and Z520 speakers include this masterful know-how. Their process can be a bit difficult to execute indoors due to generally speakers are set-up with a wall behind them. This does not allow the enclosure to complete the process when the speakers are playing. Even though these speakers still have a bass-reflex port, they do not utilize  push-pull.  These two speakers are basically wired together in parallel.
