Lamberg’s first taste of acting happened when he was just seven. He auditioned and landed a part in an American Express TV commercial. He also dabbled with various roles on TV (Radiant City, Dead Man’s Walk) and in film (I’m Not Rappaport, Lonesome). His claim to fame was the Gordo character that fans loved in the Lizzie McGuire Disney pre-teen series. He stayed throughout the show’s 3-season run. Lamberg’s streak continued when Disney brought the show a notch higher to its movie version in 2003. He was already in college at the time and was taking his classes while filming. Lamberg also played notable roles in movies such as When Do We Eat (2005) and Beautiful Loser (2008).

Lamberg gave an interview in 2001 and dished out some details about his personal life. Some interesting trivia about him include occasionally playing basketball with another heartthrob Shia LaBeouf for recreation; having Kevin Spacey for his favorite actor, The Godfather Trilogy for his favorite movies, and Bob Dylan as his favorite musician; and his last name coming from his great grandfather’s error in mentioning the place of origin (Lamberg, Poland) for the family name.
