If you want to eat more rice as part of a healthy diet then you may want to have a look at the Zojirushi NP-HBC10. This machine is a top of the range Zojirushi rice cooker. The capacity of this device is 5 1/2 cups. This means that it is best suited to cooking rice for a family of between three to seven persons. In actual fact, it can make enough to feed as many as ten people. But if you have that many mouths to feed then you could have a look at the larger model, the Zojirushi NP-HBC18. Having a little bit of extra capacity is a good thing just in case you have a guest to feed or you want to make enough so that you have some left over.
What makes this particular model such high quality is that it is fairly unique in that it is a micom rice cooker that also employs Zojirushi’s induction heating system. The only other model in this size that has the same technology is the Zojirushi NP-KAC10. Personally I prefer the NP-HBC10 because of its stainless steel body. I just think it looks more attractive.
Micom rice cookers are the basic standard of quality. If you are serious about making great tasting rice then you will not even consider not getting a micom appliance. But what you may or may not choose is a machine with an induction heating system. The reason is that it actually adds quite a bit to the overall cost.
