Curing Panic Attack Symptoms

Panic attacks are very short and brief episodes of extreme fear or apprehension that occur suddenly without a warning. A typical panic attack last between 10 to 30 minutes. However, in worst cases, a panic attack can also last for hours. People who undergo a panic attack will experience many different and overwhelming symptoms. These symptoms are very frightening and can even lead a person to lose total control of his mind and body, making him vulnerable to a vast variety of dangers.

The most common panic attack symptoms include shortness of breath, heart palpitations, chest pain or tightness, hot & cold flashes, burning sensations, sweating, nausea, hyperventilation and general sense of de-realization. Although a panic attack is not usually indicative of a mental disorder but over time if left untreated, it can turn into a full blown disease of the mind called an anxiety or panic disorder.

Other disastrous consequences include substance abuse, chronic depression and suicidal thoughts or plans.
