I had come to the realization that I wanted to become pregnant as soon as possible and so after researching the best methods to achieve pregnancy quickly, I found out that the way to do it was to use your own personal ovulation calendar to find your fertile window. I shared this valuable information with my husband and he was completely convinced that we should go for it. We were both ready and eager to become parents. Plus, it was wintertime and the weather was terrible – snow every week and we were sick of it. So we decided to book a holiday right around the time I would expect to be ovulating so that we could use the time together to focus on making our baby.
I called up our travel agent to tell him the five days we wanted to travel, and asked him to find for us a warm, tropical destination where we could relax and enjoy the time together. It took him less than two hours to call me back and tell me he found the perfect place: Cancun, Mexico. We packed our bags and were set to fly out the next week.
When we arrived in Cancun it was pouring down rain, but we were hopeful that we would get to enjoy some sun during our time there. A van picked us up at the airport and drove us to our resort. Once we got there we had champagne and cookies as we were checked in, and then a bellhop walked us to our room. We didn’t waste any time after he left, since my fertility monitor had displayed a Peak reading that morning. We knew the egg was ready for fertilization, so we hopped in bed and did the deed. It was a wonderful holiday and we went home rested and excited and within two months I started feeling the early signs of pregnancy.
