One of the best times to go away for a break is the month of February. That is if you are living in the northern hemisphere. In the southern hemisphere, February falls during their summer and is the equivalent of August in the northern hemisphere, so things are not going to be as cheap down there. But, I live in northern Europe so there is no problem there. One of the best things about holidays in February is that you are going to get great deals on holiday hotels.
I love going to Barcelona. I love the buzz about the place during the summer months and I love the buzz about the place during the winter months. Barcelona is just such a cool city to visit. I can go and visit the famous buildings of Goudy time after time and not get tired of them and they could walk up and down Las Ramblas to my intent. So I tend to try and venture down to this capital of Catalan at least once a year. And normally I like to go there during the winter months. February is a great time to visit Barcelona.
So, my search for holiday hotels and the rest of the details for making a good holiday starts around Christmas time. I would normally choose a quiet moment, when everybody else is too stuffed full of their Christmas turkey and holiday feasting to notice my absence, I sneak away and get onto the Internet for an hour or two. I will choose a brilliant holiday hotel to stay in and make sure that I can get the flights at the right price. I am very lucky because my local airport has flights to Barcelona through Ryanair. This means that in general I’m going to get the cheapest flights that are available. If I can’t get cheap flights from them then I’m not going to get them from anyone.
