Unfortunately, crime has come to my little middle class neighborhood just outside of Dallas, Texas. I have lived in this modest neighborhood for just over 7 years now. In the past 3 months, several of my neighbors have had their vehicles broken into and one of my neighbors had his storage shed broke into and a lot of his expensive tools were stolen. This has certainly disturbed the neighbors because crime simply does not happen in our neck of the woods. A lot of crimes happen in Dallas, but we have all seemed to be immune.
Because of the break-in’s, I am now going to install a security system for my home and I believe a lot of my neighbors are considering the same. Although a security system may not actually stop a bad guy, having video surveillance and a very loud audible alarm may slow them down and make them not choose my home. Video surveillance systems are the heart of a good home alarm system because the cameras are able to record video anytime they detect movement around your house or in whatever zone you have set up. Bad guys like to do their dirty business at night while everyone is in bed.

I want a security system that can detect someone moving around the perimeter of my home in total darkness. I want a very loud alarm system to sound if someone tries to enter my home through a window or anywhere they make try to gain entry. Since my house is 7 years old, it will not be easy to install new wiring. Thank goodness that their are wireless surveillance cameras available so we do not have to drill through walls and such. I am being proactive when it comes to the security of my family and my home. Installing an alarm system is very affordable these days and I will feel much safer. You should consider a home alarm system before crime comes to your neighborhood.
