More and more, technology has a place in the average American home. There are now self-monitoring vacuum cleaners, motion detecting garbage cans, and televisions that turn on and off on their own. One of the hot products is the self-monitoring mop. The company that makes the self-sufficient vacuum has come up with this creation, hoping that people will buy the two in pairs. After the vacuum has picked up waste from the floor, the self-monitoring mop goes over the same floor and mops any excess debris. It then returns to a small compartment that keeps the map constantly wet and ready for future moping. This compartment is also very small (it takes up the same surface area as a tissue box) and can be stored in any closet.
Another hot product is the indoor barbecue grill. Barbecues no longer have to take place outdoors. They can be enjoyed all year round. There are two units. One essentially works like a brand of mini gas grills, except an oven hood is attached to the top. The other unit comes equipped with a built in smoker to simulate the taste from off of a charcoal grill. Both units retail at around $200 and they are relatively small in size. So for larger barbecue parties, a second unit might have to be bought.
Finally, there is the computerized shoe container. It is fairly wide but not very tall. It can be placed at any door entrance. With the mere wave of a shoe in front of a monitor, the shoe container door opens up. Shoes can be placed into the container and, once away from the unit, the door will close again.
