The Basics of Corner Bathtubs

The installation of a corner bathtub is a great way to neutralize space in the bathroom. It could also be the room’s focal point. Do note that while a few corner bathtubs are good for small bathrooms as it saves space, there are some tubs who take up a lot more room.

In order to save space using corner tubs, they need to be installed in between two cabinet-sets specifically one on every wall. Placing such a bathtub in the corner produces more available floor space yet at the same time fills an otherwise vacant space.

Usually, corner bathtubs are relatively bigger compared to standard small bathtubs, But since these tubs are specially designed to be placed in a corner, they are able to give off the impression that they are space-savers. Corner tubs also offer homeowners the opportunity to enjoy a spacious bathtub without at all sacrificing tons of space – or their money – for a bathroom-remodel.

There are many kinds of corner tubs the most common of which are those made of acrylic. Bathtubs made from acrylic materials generally costs less and are lightweight. Plus, they are low maintenance and require little upkeep.

Do note that acrylic is the material conventionally used in the construction of corner bathtubs. Such tubs could be found in almost any color. Essentially, color is not merely painted on a tub’s surface but is fast all throughout the bathtub. Therefore it is highly unlikely for the colors of such tubs to fade as time passes. It also becomes highly resistant to dents, scratches or burns.

Bathtubs come in all shapes and sizes. Some are big enough to fit two people while some are actually larger. Overall, the shape of a corner bathtub all depends on a person’s preference. The most common shapes are oval and round.
