Through a lot of personal research and conversations with leaders of the hemp movement, I have realized the full truth about hemp as the world’s ultimate biomass. Hemp is a very fast and easy to grow plant that is a great source of fiber, food, construction materials, engine fuel, oil, lotion, and clothing material.
Hemp has been grown for roughly 7000 years in Asia and Europe. Hemp was once a prominent plant to grow in America, and in the 1800′s it was illegal in some states to not grow hemp on personal property. It was that important to the American society and economy. Societies that have grown a lot of hemp have been shown to prosper as a nation, which may have something to do with hemp’s effect on a country.
Around 1920, many Americans learned how to import oil, which was another alternative to hemp as an energy source. This led to hemp eventually being banned from the US, leaving us with fewer energy options and without one of nature’s best plants known to man. Lies about hemp were spread throughout major media sources at the time, which led to a public outcry.
Hemp is well known because it’s female counterpart is marijuana, a drug that is currently illegal. Hemp does not get you high and has many industrial benefits that make it a very useful and healthy plant. Hemp should have nothing to do with the War on Drugs, but unfortunately it is. The only people that benefit from the Drug Way are criminals, gun makers, and prison systems. Everyone else suffers greatly and spends a lot of money on it.
Hemp has tons of industrial benefits that make it beneficial. It is even the only plant that improves the soil’s condition as it grows, making it quite useful for farmers because they can grow hemp in between harvests and proposer greatly.
