In this article I am going to be explaining the basic principle for making money with the Google adsense program, using a WordPress blog. There are many methods for generating cash with a blog but Google adsense is probably the easiest so I will start with this.
The Basic Concept.
The basic concept is to create a blog that attracts visitors who are interested in your chosen content, each time one of those visitors clicks on an advert, placed within your content by Google adsense, you get paid a certain amount of money. The amount of money earned each time an advert is clicked depends on the value of the keywords in the page (I will expand on this later).
At the end of each month, Google adsense pays you for the total adverts clicked this can range from a few cents to thousands of dollars per month.
Blog owners will also get paid for “impressions” which are the amount of times an advert is shown on your site (not clicked on), the blog visitors do not even need to click on the advert for you to be paid. For example if you receive one million visitors per month, an adsense advert will be loaded in the web page each time a visitor visits a specific page, this could result in a few million impressions earning you a substantial amount of money just for site visits.
What Is Google Adsense?
The Google adsense program is an application that delivers content based adverts directly to your blog. You sign up with Google Adsense (for free) and then insert the provided adsense code into your blog pages (WordPress blogs have free plugins that will automatically insert adverts into your blog pages) visit the WordPress Configuration Forum for more detail on this. An advertisers advert will then be displayed on all the blog pages that have the adsense code.
How Much Money Will You Earn.
This is one of those questions like “how long is a piece of string”. The amount of money that you will earn via adsense can range from cents to thousands of dollars per month depending on the value of the keywords on your blog pages, the amount of traffic that your blog receives and the amount of content in your blog.
Content Equals Cash.
There is one formula that you, as a blogger, must never forget and that is , content = cash, no hidden secrets just simple maths. The more content you create the more you earn. I think we can safely say that for each quality post, that adds value to the google search engines, you will earn between one dollar and a few hundred dollars per month. Yes you heard that correctly! So if you create, lets say, one thousand unique posts you could expect to earn anywhere between one thousand dollars to a few hundred thousand dollars per month, if you have done your job correctly.
