Coordinating Your Hairstyle With Your Bridal Tiara

So you’ve found the dress, the shoes and the jewelry for your wedding day. You’ve even found the perfect tiara in a sea of bridal tiaras to suit your style, your look and your day. To finish the look, make sure your hairstyle matches your tiara. Small wedding headband tiaras might get lost in a large hairdo, but would beautifully accentuate an understated style.

Among the first things to consider is the height of your tiara. If it is tall, consider piling your hair on top of your head in curls. Your tresses will create a stunning backdrop to the tiara. If, however, the sparkling tiara is short, perhaps a lower up-do or leaving at least part of your hair down is the best option.

Another factor is the style of the headpiece. If your tiara is adorned with pearls and a few rhinestones, and is designed in a traditional or romantic style, a fitting hairstyle would be soft curls or maybe a French twist. On the other hand, if you’ve selected a more modern tiara, a more sleek and innovative look would be the most fitting style to suit the tiara.

If you want to wear your hair down, for example, a tiara with a veil fastened at the top of your head is the best option. But if you want to wear a low up-do such as curls pinned to the nape of your neck, the tiara can bring sparkle to the top of your head, while the veil can be attached beneath the curls and cascade down your back.

Most importantly, make sure you take the time to wear the entire ensemble before the wedding. It will take time, but go all out. Wear the shoes and the dress, get your hair styled the way you want, and put on all the jewelry and the tiara. This way you can be sure each element of your look complements the rest of your ensemble and that you’ve expertly utilized your bridal tiara.
