Make Use Of Permanent Makeup

Despite its popularity many people do not understand exactly what permanent makeup really is. There has been a lot of media attention about tattooing eyebrows for those people who have thin or thinning eyebrows or are just tired of the plucking because they have misshapen eyebrows. The thing is that much the same process can be used for many other parts of the face. This is not exactly tattooing but very similar. The process is still mostly done by tattoo artists in shops but recently there had been a number of separate businesses started up that specialize in this type of procedure.

Cosmetic tattooing is injected into the skin just deep enough to make it permanent but no so deep that it cannot be seen. The important thing to remember is that this work takes a very good artist to do correctly and the tattoo artist you are working with should have a great deal of experience. In the first place an inexperienced artist can injure you by working so close to your eyes or other sensitive areas of your face. The second thing is this is in a very visible place, not tucked away under your clothing. This means that the work has to be absolutely perfect.

The three types of permanent makeup that are most common are lip liner, lip color and eyeliner. You might be able to find an artist who will do eye shadow but this is not advisable. The eyelid is far too close to the eyeball and it is a relatively large area to cover. This increases the chances of damage to the eye. There are the same side effects as with regular tattooing but are also more subject to fade and require touch ups about once a year. There have also been complaints of swelling and burning if you get an MRI.
