I personally met many people who know I work in the perfume and fragrance industry and asked me for advice on how to work the nose of their partners. Older people have a different smell, they say, and that’s part of why we attract people our age. You hardly see a man of twenty-something for a woman of fifty-something. Alright, we do not take into consideration Demi Moore as a point of contention. But generally speaking, older people have a big comparison with the young in terms of smell. It is not a matter of personal hygiene. This is the thing to blame for something they can not control very well as it is nature.
Typically, you could make rose as an essential oil for your potpourri, but not as a rose perfume. Rose, according to some study, can make people smell years older than they really are. Instead, tropical fruits like pineapple and mango are associated with youth and children – hence, before you rush to the payment counter with a bottle of perfume, ask the sales assistant on the label and the contents of the bottle.
The smell of tropical fruit brings reminiscent of childhood, to be safe, enjoying the joy of living without fear and to be under the protection of our parents.
Too young, you say? Well, maybe so. How about something a little more elegant and quiet? Those would be the gay jasmine and cherry blossom. Many women are choosing perfumes that are a little more grounded. The smell evokes emotions or down to earth and calm.
Personally, I like the smell of roses, but I prefer to put my foot in the mixer to wear a perfume with rose essential oil as top notes to a bar or going shopping. A white linen perfume is also available.
But I do not mind using rose-scented essential oil on my drive.
