With barking, it is usually a cry for attention from your dog. This will be particularly common if you have only just got your beagle and he is not used to being left at home alone while you go out during the day. Try and leave him only for short periods to start with. If you need to leave all day for work, get a friend to stay home with your dog for as long as possible. Most of the time you will find that with a bit more love and attention, your beagle barking problems will start to fade pretty quickly.

If the dog is just a young puppy then there are not many things which could be causing the aggression. You will want to get your beagle checked over by a health professional to make sure he is not in any discomfort or has picked up any injuries.

A lot of the time an aggressive beagle will need to be taken to an experienced dog trainer who will be able to look into the causes of the behaviour a bit more deeply. Stopping this kind of behaviour is quite difficult for a new and inexperienced owner or trainer.
