One of the very first competitive sports that I was introduced to as a child was the sport of cricket, although I have always been a fan of football my memories of Cricket are much more pleasant I think this has something to do with the fact that it is a summertime game. Yes many weekends have been spent in the company of family and friends watching live cricket matches, on the odd occasion I will even play the game for our local village team. On reflection it becomes quite clear why I love the sport of cricket so much, fortunately there are many more lifelong fans of cricket like myself who continue from the development of the sport.

Of course we can actively take part and play the game but I feel the main factor which has seen the sport grow so well, has been in the way that cricket is broadcast across the world.
