Working out can be as boring as a game of pinball when you perform it regularly sticking to only one fitness routine plan. Fun cardio workout plan option 1 – “Leg lift”.
You can perform this exercise by tucking your hands under your butt keeping your legs straight, then slowly raise your legs at least six inches off the floor. Open and close your legs slowly. Perform the exercises in 3 sets and each set should be done in 20 repetitions.
Fun cardio workout plan option 2- “Bent leg sit-ups”.
Lay on the floor facing the roof and raise your knees up and your feet should be flat on the floor. Position your hands at the back of your neck. Your elbows should be spread out on both sides then slowly come up to reach your knees. This should also be done in 30 minutes or until you reach your limit.
Fun cardio workout idea option 3 – “Cat-cows”.
Your hands and your knees should touch the floor; you should be facing the floor. You should probably look like a cow or a dog. In this position, your back and your belly should be relaxed. Then while looking up at the wall or anything in front of you, sway your back. Now, while exhaling, try humping your back like what a cat does when stretching. After the exhale, lower your head down in a relaxed manner. While doing the exercise, put into your mind that you should keeping your muscles as tight as possible by locking the core of your muscles.
Fun cardio workout idea option 4 – “Kickboxing”.
You can use this routine to add fun and excitement to your usual cardio workout. You can perform upper cut, overhead punches and jab punches combined with a front kick attack. It can strengthen your muscles and sharpen your self defense skills at the same time. A punching bag is the best ally to perform this exercise. Ask a trainer to show you how to do it effectively.
You can use any or all the above mentioned fun cardio workouts together with your old aerobics and cardio exercises routine but you have to ensure that you don’t overdo yourself to avoid overstressing your muscles. Remember that when a portion of the body is overstressed, it will affect the other muscle groups in performing at its best on the next workout schedule.
