Tesco Motor Car Insurance Hints

It’s almost as much fun as planning your next root canal, but it’s arguably just as necessary.  Updating your motor car insurance coverage isn’t at the forefront of anyone’s list of fun things to do, but it’s a necessary evil.  Fortunately, there are a couple of things you can do before you purchase your next car, and before you purchase your next insurance plan, to mitigate your costs.

First, if you’re in the market for an import car, bear a couple of things in mind to keep your import car insurance costs at a minimum over the life of your ownership experience.  Unless you’re on the market for a Ferrari or Maserati, in which case your car insurance premium amount is but an ancillary concern, you should pick an economical model.  That will keep your repair costs down over the life of the vehicle, and it will also keep your car insurance premium under control.

Third, if you’re already a Tesco Clubcard customer in the UK, consider Tesco motor car insurance as well.  Tesco offer a substantial motor car insurance discount when you add car cover to your business portfolio with them.

If you’re a student, be sure to earn good grades.  This will also earn you up to a 15% break on your import car insurance premium.  It might seem like a lot of extra work, but putting in the extra time to earn higher marks in school now has a significant financial incentive behind it.

Last, if you’re planning to travel any appreciable amount, be sure that your new import car insurance policy contains a temporary car insurance clause to cover you while you’re borrowing or renting another car.
