The Geo Tracker Mini-4×4

The 2 door Geo Tracker convertible is a fun small sport utility vehicle. It’s interesting to see a USA and Japanese joint venture ( Suzuki and General Motors). The Geo Tracker 4×4 is very light and is a relatively capable offroader, due to it’s light weight and 4×4. One of the main weight reducing factors is the fact it’s a convertible. The Geo Tracker also felt fine when I drove it through the snow. The Tracker is an amazing vehicle for the price. They are known for being both affordable and fun offroaders. The Geo Tracker Mini 4×4 parts are also cheap, and the vehicle is easy to work on. The Geo Tracker 4×4 went through the snow actually just as good as my Chevy Blazer. It’s amazing that such a small vehicle feels so stable. The mileage is also decent and capable of achieving 24/25 mpg in city and closer to the 30mpg mark with highway driving.

One of the few faults that is does have is the insurance is higher than expected due to it’s small size and being relatively top heavy. If you are considering purchasing a Geo Tracker Mini 4×4 make sure you get the 5 speed manual for better fuel efficiency and acceleration. Another advantage of the Mini Tracker is the 2 door has a very short wheel base which makes this the easiest vehicle that I ever had to park, the wheelbase is only 86 inches long. Some people would assume that the short wheelbase would contribute to a bumpy ride, but it is much smoother over bumps than expected. I also was surprised that such a small vehicle would have so much leg room, I am 6’1″ and I felt comfortable driving it.

The Geo Tracker is also a low maintenance SUV. The parts for the Geo Tracker are also affordable. Overall it is an amazing vehicle but it’s not without faults, the base model that I drove wasn’t too safe due to the fact it didn’t have ABS (anti lock brakes) as a standard option. If you ever get your hands on a 5 speed, 2 door, 4×4, ABS model, you found yourself an amazing vehicle.
